The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Electrical Fitter to undertake a Certificate III in Electrotechnology over a four-year program which will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified and experienced professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification. This Apprentice position will be based at Rowville.

During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and will participate in workplace and worksite rotations, experiencing a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry which will enhance your skills and career development opportunities. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Oil insulated transformers and their associated mechanisms 
  • A variety of oil and gas insulated circuit breakers 
  • Terminal & Zone substations isolators and earthing switch gear 
  • All equipment in Terminal & Zone substations 
  • Regulators and field devices (ACR’s) 

What We’re Looking For 

This is an exciting time for our industry and we would love to be able to share this journey with someone who is committed and eager to learn. When you complete the program successfully, you will have completed all competencies for a Certificate III in Electrotechnology. 

To be considered for this role you will have: 

  • A minimum age of 18 and drivers licence by the time you commence the apprenticeship in January 2026 
  • A pre-apprenticeship qualification (Certificate II Electrotechnology) will benefit your application but is not essential 
  • An enjoyment of working in the outdoors 
  • A good positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team will no doubt see you succeed in your new role
