About the role

We’re seeking a proactive and safety-focused No Go Zone Assessor to manage and respond to third-party enquiries about works near electrical assets, working out of our Keysborough depot.

In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with VESI No Go Zone Guidelines, promoting safe working practices around electricity distribution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Advising third parties of requirements any controls and safety precautions required based around the on VESI No Go Zone Guidelines.
  • Conducting on-site inspections for 3rd party works for No Go Zone requests and issuing of Permit to Works under the No Go Zone Guidelines
  • Application for HV & LV outages required under the No Go Zone guidelines to ensure customers are able to proceed with work under a safe working environment
  • Interpreting HV and LV operating diagrams and maps.
  • Understanding of the current Victoria Electrical Safety (Installation) Regulations and how it relates to 3rd party works
  • Use of Telescopic stick to install &/ remove on site warning flags

About You

The successful applicant will be a safety focused and skilled professional with a detailed understanding of all electrical assets, No Go Zone policies, procedures and activities related to electricity distribution asset.

  • Certificate III in Electrical Trades &/or Certificate IV in Power Systems
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively
  • Ability to achieve company objectives by applying approved governances
  • Demonstrates a high standard of work with clear communication and strong organisational skills, even under pressure
  • Proficient in reading HV & LV maps and preparing Permit to Works
  • Skilled in using telescopic switch sticks for operational applications
