About the role

Zinfra is seeking a motivated, safety-conscious Gas Service Technician based in Orange, servicing Orange and the surrounding regions. In this hands-on, field-based role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing essential gas networks, ensuring homes and businesses remain safe, powered, and connected every day.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Complete all programmed and corrective maintenance of Zinfra’s client gas facilities and networks
  • Ensure no gas outages due to maintenance and repair techniques and reduce “call backs” or rework on work performed
  • Working in accordance with the code of conduct and safety policies and procedures and report all system and component failures ensuring you are following respective procedures
  • Carry out risk assessments on all work
  • Assist with resourcing during emergency or critical times
  • Provide constructive input regarding issues affecting the team

About You

The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of gas networks and experience working with a variety of tools and equipment.

  • Experience working within the utilities sector
  • Proactive approach towards safety and excellent safe working practices
  • Flexibility to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business and being on a monthly after-hours callout roster
  • Plumbing Licence - Essential
  • Current Australian drivers licence, White / Blue card, Asbestos awareness
