About the role

We’re seeking a Faults Coordinator to play a critical role in the gold-class dispatch of on-demand field work and emergency response during major events. This position ensures optimal deployment of internal and contractor resources, balancing cost-efficiency with high customer satisfaction. With a strong focus on safety, KPIs, productivity, and quality, the coordinator maintains data integrity while supporting seamless operations. Their ability to prioritise and respond swiftly to faults ensures minimal disruption and maximum service reliability, making them an essential link between field teams and operational success.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Coordinating the dispatch and allocation of field crews and contractors to ensure timely and effective fault response.
  • Prioritising restoration activities based on safety, customer impact, and operational requirements.
  • Monitoring real-time field activity and adjusting resource allocations as conditions evolve.
  • Ensuring all dispatched activities comply with safety standards, regulatory obligations, and escalation protocols.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders during outages and major events.
  • Maintaining accurate, real-time data entry for work orders, fault logs, and system updates.
  • Promoting best-practice use of enterprise systems and supporting peers with troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • Providing timely, accurate updates to support customer communication and enhance service experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying system inefficiencies and supporting implementation of enhancements.

About You

The ideal candidate brings a calm, decisive approach to fault coordination, with a strong grasp of electrical distribution operations and stakeholder communication. They thrive in high-pressure environments, demonstrate excellent system and data handling skills, and consistently prioritise safety, accuracy, and customer impact in every decision they make.

To be selected for interview, your profile should demonstrate:

  • Prior exposure to electrical distribution networks and fault restoration processes
  • Extensive experience in administration or data entry in fast-paced environments
  • Time spent collaborating effectively with operational teams, including Duty Officers, schedulers, and field crews
  • Examples of building strong stakeholder relationships through clear, timely communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise systems, ideally including SAP
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and escalation protocols in operational contexts
  • Remaining calm under pressure, with strong decision-making and multitasking abilities
