About the role
We’re seeking to engage a talented Project Engineer to join an expanding team within Zinfra, the focus of the role will be on supporting both tender preparation and project delivery across complex infrastructure programmes. The role contributes to technical management within the project management framework, ensuring processes are understood and individual tasks are completed effectively. It involves coordinating scope development and aligning activities with overall project objectives. Responsibilities include managing discrete components of large, complex projects or overseeing smaller, low-risk projects in full. Strong collaboration, attention to detail and an ability to integrate technical and commercial considerations are essential to delivering outcomes safely, on time and within budget.
About You
The ideal candidate is a proactive Project Engineer with proven ability to support tendering and deliver projects within structured frameworks. With a pragmatic approach to performing ad hoc tasks as directed by the associated Project Manager. They demonstrate strong technical, planning and problem-solving skills, effectively manage scope and risk, and contribute across the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, timely and cost-efficient outcomes.
Key Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in engineering design and construction
- Able to work night shifts where required/ adhere to an 11/3 roster
- Relevant engineering or trade qualification
- Strong understanding of project management processes and lifecycle
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling capability
- Experience managing subcontractors and project scope elements
- Knowledge of HSEQ standards, risk and opportunity management
- Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools
