Inventory Team Leader

We're looking for an experienced Inventory Team Leader to lead our inventory planning and materials management function while fostering strong partnerships across our Gas Services business.

Reporting to the Inventory, Warehouse & Administration Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials are available when and where they're needed, while balancing operational priorities, inventory controls, commercial outcomes and long-term strategic objectives.

You'll lead a capable team, influence key stakeholders, strengthen supplier partnerships and help shape the future of inventory management across our business.

What you'll be doing

As our Inventory Team Leader, you'll:

  • Develop and implement inventory strategies that balance demand, supply and business priorities.
  • Identify and implement inventory controls and governance required to meet Zinfra and group objectives
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand future work programs and translate them into effective inventory plans.
  • Lead, mentor and support a high-performing team, creating an environment where people can thrive.
  • Oversee forecasting, demand planning and inventory optimisation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Use analytics and business insights to support informed, data-driven decision making.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to improve service delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement through innovation, process optimisation and system enhancements.
  • Oversee inventory master data, MRP systems and inventory performance reporting.
  • Support a strong safety culture and ensure inventory activities align with HSEQ requirements.

We'd love to hear from you if you bring

  • Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Planning or a related discipline.
  • Leadership experience within inventory, supply chain, warehousing or materials management.
  • Experience managing complex inventory, forecasting or planning functions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with MRP systems and inventory analytics.
  • The ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into practical business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and improving processes.

You'll be particularly successful in this role if you have strengths in:

  • Forecast creation, maintenance and demand planning.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision making.
  • Building trusted relationships across operational teams and supplier networks.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to balance immediate business needs with long-term value.
  • Continuous improvement, process optimisation and systems thinking.
  • Influencing stakeholders through collaboration rather than authority.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency and customer outcomes.
