About the role

Join Zinfra as a Planner at our Wodonga depot supporting the Delivery of Maintenance Services Agreement (DOMSA) with AusNet. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the effective preparation and planning of work packages to deliver a safe, efficient, and timely program of works. You’ll champion robust systems, processes, and disciplines to optimise delivery outcomes. As Zinfra expands across regional Victoria, you’ll be part of a growing team energising communities and shaping a resilient energy future.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Scoping work packages accurately to ensure crews can commence and complete tasks without delay or rework.
  • Coordinating materials, services, and fleet to be available on-site at the right time for seamless execution.
  • Packaging work smartly to optimise travel time, reduce supply interruptions, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Preparing robust planning folders with all required documentation to support efficient field delivery.
  • Validating and updating Reasonable Estimates (REs) to ensure accurate planning and resource allocation.
  • Booking third-party services such as civil works and traffic management to support timely delivery.
  • Undertaking system transactions including scheduling and planning entries to support operational readiness.
  • Conducting site visits to assess safe and efficient delivery methodologies tailored to each location.
  • Notifying relevant authorities and securing equipment to meet compliance and operational standards.

About You

You’re a self-motivated planner with deep knowledge of electrical networks and maintenance operations. With strong decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills, you thrive in dynamic environments and consistently deliver high-quality planning outcomes that meet safety, compliance, and operational standards.


Ensure your resume highlights:

  • Extensive experience in electrical network planning, construction, or maintenance
  • Time spent applying advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and GIS mapping tools (e.g., I-View)
  • Your ability to prepare and lodge switching sheets with precision and compliance
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ and VESI requirements in planning contexts
  • Agility managing competing priorities in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Experience communicating effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Organising and planning work with strong attention to detail and accountability
