About the Role
We’re looking for a Metering Engineer who is passionate about precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll provide engineering and technical expertise to support the accurate measurement of gas and water quality and quantity. You’ll also contribute to the development and maintenance of testing facilities and data communications technologies across Jemena Pipelines, Jemena Gas Networks.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and making a meaningful impact. Your experience may include:
- A strong understanding of gas pipelines, facilities, and flow measurement technologies.
- Familiarity with gas meters, regulators, gas chromatographs, and other analytical tools.
- Knowledge of gas laws and engineering principles across multiple disciplines.
- Experience with quality systems, including scheduling, supervision, and QA processes.
- Confidence in technical writing and clear communication.
- A proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel for site inspections and hands-on support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with Australian Standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills using relevant software and databases.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- A solid track record in delivering engineering or technical functions, including policy development, compliance, and risk management.
- Understanding of hazardous area certification and safety practices.
