About the role

We’re seeking a skilled and safety-conscious PERU Operator to join our team at the Tullamarine Depot. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a vital part in the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical networks.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating specialised plant and equipment to support tasks such as boring holes and lifting power poles.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance and essential plant operation support to electrical line workers
  • Completing risk assessments/job safety analysis prior to commencing work at each site
  • Collaborate with various teams to safely upgrade and maintain the electrical network
  • Complete tasks within designated time frames to meet customer requirements

About You

Success in this role requires demonstrated previous experience operating PERU in a construction or utilities environment, together with a strong focus on safety and collaboration.

  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence with HR or HC endorsement
  • High Risk Work Licence C2 Crane endorsement (as minimum)
  • A strong understanding of electrical safety practices, along with knowledge of relevant electrical legislation, codes, and industry standards
