About the role

We are seeking a Civil Work Ready Co‑ordinator to join our team based at our Glen Waverley depot, working within our underground services delivery team on the United Energy contract. This role plays a critical part in ensuring civil subcontracted works are effectively coordinated, managed and completed to support safe, timely and cost‑effective delivery of downstream cabling and termination activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing civil subcontractors across project and maintenance programs, ensuring civil works are delivered to the required standard, within agreed timeframes and cost parameters. You will act as a key interface between civil contractors, internal field delivery teams, planners and client stakeholders, setting the field delivery function up for success through strong preparation, coordination and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Coordinate and manage civil subcontracted works to ensure packages are delivered complete, compliant and ready to support cabling and termination activities.
  • Prepare, review and assure civil work packages, resolving scope, sequencing, access, permits, materials and third‑party dependencies prior to release.
  • Manage civil subcontractors against agreed time, quality and cost outcomes across project and maintenance programs.
  • Establish and manage end‑to‑end tracking of civil works delivery, including progress monitoring, issue resolution, reinstatement and final close‑out.
  • Implement and maintain a formalised reinstatement and close‑out process, ensuring works meet required standards and are handed over for system and commercial completion.
  • Identify, manage and report delivery risks, issues and variances, including formally requesting client approval for additional funding where scope changes impact cost (e.g. rock excavation).
  • Provide clear, timely reporting on civil works status, performance and cost impacts, and support Delivery Managers during fault and emergency scenarios where civil works are required.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing civil subcontractors within an infrastructure, utilities.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices, OHS&E requirements, quality assurance and risk management principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, internal teams and client representatives.
  • Experience managing delivery performance against time, quality and cost outcomes.
  • Strong planning, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel, and other planning or delivery tracking systems is highly regarded.
