About the role
We are seeking a licensed Electrical Inspector to join our team in a full-time, permanent role based at the Tullamarine depot.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance across the electricity distribution network and participating in an on-call roster.
You will manage customer enquiries, provide technical guidance, conduct site meetings, and support network connections, dispatch, and control room operations during faults and emergencies. The position involves inspecting works, issuing and closing defect notices, investigating complaints, facilitating customer connections, and maintaining accurate digital records. Strong stakeholder engagement and technical expertise are essential.

About You
If you have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, we want you on our team.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a solid understanding of regulatory requirements of the ESA, ES(G)R’s, VSIR’s, AS3000, AS2067, AS3010, AS5033, AS5139 and VESI ISTC procedures, electricity distribution assets, along with proven skills in inspection, customer service, stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously or closely within a team environment.
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues in a creative and effective manner in order to meet customer and client objectives for the agreed work through the application of approved governance
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fluid environment
- “A” Grade Electrical Licence
- “G” Class Electrical Inspectors Licence (V Class endorsement highly desirable)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- ESI Worker Card
