About the opportunities:

We are in search of experienced HSE Business Partners to join our team, collaborating and supporting our Zinfra operational teams to deliver exceptional HSE solutions in line with our strategy. Positions are available throughout Melbourne for individuals enthusiastic about making an impact.

You will build partnerships with dedicated internal clients, serving as their primary point of contact, and implement company policies, programs, and initiatives for continuous improvement in H&S risk management and visible safety leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Foster a workplace HSE culture characterized by risk-based systems and proactive behaviors such as accountability, ownership, awareness, and leadership.
  • Take accountability for coordinating, organizing, and implementing various HSE projects, programs, and initiatives within assigned business areas.
  • Offer professional advice, coaching, support, and guidance to management and staff on all HSE policies, processes, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the interpretation and adoption of HSE legislation and assist the business with safety regulatory requirements and interfaces.
  • Coach and influence leaders to advocate for a positive and resilient safety culture.

About you

Ideally, you'll bring with you capability in tactfully navigating challenging scenarios, a collaborative team spirit, exceptional communication, and proficiency in coordinating tasks for a cohesive team dynamic. Moreover, your dedication to proactive troubleshooting and maintaining excellent professional standards will be paramount.

Having experience in the electrical industry or a civil works background on blue-collar sites would be beneficial for effectively managing demanding customer requirements, ensuring safety team compliance, and fostering positive customer relationships.

You will also bring with you:

  • Demonstrated experience in large, high-risk industrial organizations, preferably in utilities, services, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in implementing risk-based HSE systems and assurance programs, coaching leaders, and empowering teams.
  • Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders to embed a mature safety culture.
  • Tertiary or Diploma-level qualifications in Training, Health & Safety, or related fields preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian HSE legislative frameworks, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) training or qualifications.
  • Exceptional risk management skills, including AS4801 familiarity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for clear, concise, and accurate HSE reporting.
  • Proven leadership in incident investigations and root cause analysis
