About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial management of a large-scale maintenance contract within our energy infrastructure portfolio. This is a highly visible role where commercial leadership directly influences contract performance, operational outcomes and long-term client relationships.
Working closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders, you will provide strategic commercial guidance across contract delivery, ensuring commercial risks are proactively managed while identifying opportunities to maximise value. In an environment where accountability matters and commercial decisions have real operational impact, you'll be trusted to apply sound judgement, influence decision-making and drive commercially sustainable outcomes.
- Lead the commercial management of a significant maintenance contract, overseeing contract performance, variations, claims and risk management.
- Partner with operational leaders to optimise commercial outcomes across maintenance delivery activities and programs of work.
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation, negotiation, dispute resolution and customer obligations.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, influencing key commercial and strategic decisions.
- Drive commercial governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance contract value and operational performance.
About You
You are a commercially astute leader who combines strong contract management expertise with a practical, solutions-focused approach. You thrive in complex operational environments, remain calm under pressure and can confidently balance commercial risk with delivery outcomes. Most importantly, you take ownership, make decisions and work collaboratively to achieve results.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial contracts within maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, construction or asset-intensive environments.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, variations, claims management, commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operational leaders while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Highly developed commercial judgement with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and value creation initiatives.
- Resilient, accountable and collaborative, with a track record of delivering outcomes in fast-paced operational environments.
