About the role
The Capital Works Program Manager, reporting to the General Manager OneDx, is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of Zinfra’s Capital Works under the DOMSA agreement with AusNet. This includes managing Customer Initiated (CIC), Network Initiated (NIC), and Minor Works programs.
This key role oversees project execution to ensure timely delivery, profitability, and quality. It also leads estimating functions, resource planning, and performance management across the DOMSA. A strong focus on achieving key performance indicators, financial targets, and service quality is essential to ensure compliance and success across all facets of the annual works program.
This role will commence on August 1st 2025 upon full transfer of business.
The successful Downer employee transferring to Zinfra will retain accrued entitlements and benefits.
Key Responsibilities include
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of the CIC/NIC works programs, ensuring alignment with time, cost, scope, safety, and quality performance goals.
- Developing and executing program and resource planning strategies, balancing internal and subcontractor resources to meet program demand and client expectations.
- Building capability and capacity within the OMSA contract in estimating, project management, and major project delivery.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and project risks, while ensuring accurate cost control and consistently applying pricing methodologies.
- Fostering strong stakeholder relationships within Ausnet, ensuring clear communication, maintaining contract alignment, and enhancing client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensuring effective governance and reporting, preparing documentation, fulfilling DOMSA reporting requirements, and supporting the General Manager with insights and recommendations.
About You
To be successful in the role you will need to be an experienced and driven professional with a strong background in electrical distribution, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Your ability to lead teams, manage complex programs, and drive results is backed by deep industry knowledge and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Bring extensive experience in electrical distribution project management
- Hold a relevant diploma and industry qualifications
- Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen
- Experience leading teams with vision, values, and accountability
- Excel in stakeholder communication and contract management
- Demonstrable experience driving operational excellence through data and reporting
