We are looking for a tutor to join the online campus to deliver the Level 4- Certificate in Health and Wellbeing programme
About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Online Tutor to join our team to deliver the Level 4 Health and Wellbeing course. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching, delivering, and supporting students working towards their Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualifications. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting students in their studies, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will play an essential role in guiding students towards successful completion of their qualifications, while promoting the importance of health and wellbeing in both personal and professional contexts.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to teach from anywhere in New Zealand providing asynchronous learning opportunities for students across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating Learning: Guide and support students through the Health and Wellbeing Level 4 curriculum content available on the Learning Management System and plan, prepare, and deliver supplementary lessons to enhance their understanding.
- Student Support: Provide support to students, offering guidance on assignments, projects, and personal development in the health and wellbeing sector.
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and monitor overall student performance.
- Learning Resources: Review and supplement existing LMS content with engaging activities, supplementary resources, and opportunities for deeper exploration to enhance the learning experience.
- Individualized Learning: Tailor support for students with diverse learning needs and ensure that all students have the resources to succeed.
- Compliance: Maintain records of student progress, and achievements in line with institutional requirements.
- Safeguarding: Promote a safe learning environment by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Continual Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with developments in the field of health and wellbeing education.
Required Skills/Experience
- A Level 5 qualification in Health and Wellbeing or a related field is essential.
- Previous experience of teaching or tutoring at a Level 4 standard, preferably in health and wellbeing, is highly advantageous
- A solid understanding of the Level 5 Health and Wellbeing framework, including practical and theoretical components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and tools.
Desirable Skills
- A recognised adult teaching qualification such as NZCATT L4, or a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
- Familiarity with teaching and assessing in an online or blended learning environment.
- Relevant work experience in the health and wellbeing sector.
