Yoobee Colleges Ltd is looking for an exceptional Clinical Education Tutor & Simulation Operations Coordinator to join our Healthcare Academy New Zealand (HANZ) team!

This role focuses on teaching the fundamentals of nursing to enrolled nurse students/ākonga, preparing them for real-world clinical placements. We are seeking an inspirational educator who applies innovative and evidence-based teaching strategies, integrating modern pedagogical approaches such as blended learning, interactive digital engagement, and student/ākonga-centered methodologies. What You’ll Do:

  • Inspire, mentor, and support learners/ākonga in developing essential nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Provide expert nursing knowledge to support the teaching team.
  • Design and deliver engaging, learning experiences, including simulation-based activities.
  • Manage and maintain our simulation space to enhance student/ākonga learning.
  • Guide learners/ākonga in transitioning from classroom-based learning to clinical placements.
  • Utilise effective and innovative teaching methods to support diverse learning styles.
  • Deliver high-quality education using blended learning approaches, including face-to-face, online, flipped classroom, synchronous, and asynchronous learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with a team of educators committed to excellence and student/ākonga success.
  • Engage in professional development to stay at the forefront of nursing education best practices.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Enrolled or Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate.
  • Postgraduate qualification in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in vocational or tertiary education (or a passion for teaching).
  • Strong expertise in blended learning methodologies and digital learning environments.
  • Knowledge of simulation-based learning and healthcare education.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot challenges.
  • Excellent communication, mentorship, and student/ākonga engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to Kaupapa Māori, mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori, tikanga, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • A team player who collaborates effectively to enhance student/ākonga learning outcomes.
