We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Learn to Swim Instructor to join our dynamic aquatics team. This is your chance to inspire confidence, build life-saving skills, and create unforgettable experiences for our swimmers — from the very first dip to full-on freestyle!

What You'll Be Doing

As a Learn to Swim Instructor, no two days will look the same. You'll be at the heart of our aquatics program, delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons that genuinely change lives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality swimming lessons tailored to students of varying ages and ability levels
  • Creating a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where every swimmer feels motivated to progress
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress and providing constructive, positive feedback
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development and achievements
  • Ensuring all pool safety standards and protocols are strictly followed at all times
  • Maintaining accurate class records and attendance logs
  • Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  • Supporting and contributing to a positive team culture within the aquatics department

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who brings energy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to every lesson. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current and recognised Swim Instructor qualification
  • A valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • A current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience teaching swimming lessons across a range of age groups and skill levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A natural ability to connect with children, adults, and families alike
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine commitment to water safety
