What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will have the wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of swimmers of all ages and abilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, safe, and inclusive swim lessons tailored to the needs of each individual learner
  • Creating a welcoming and supportive environment where all participants feel valued and encouraged
  • Monitoring and assessing swimmer progress and providing constructive, positive feedback
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times
  • Communicating openly and respectfully with swimmers, families, and team members
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance and swimmer development
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture

What We're Looking For

We welcome candidates who bring a variety of skills and lived experiences to this role. You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A current and recognised swim teaching qualification or a willingness to obtain one
  • A genuine passion for swimming and helping others build confidence in the water
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Patience, empathy, and an encouraging teaching style
  • A current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain one
  • A valid Working with Children Check or equivalent
