The Opportunity
As ER/IR Manager, you will provide specialist expertise to guide Y NSW through complex employee relations and industrial matters. You’ll lead enterprise bargaining, union consultation, and case management with a people-centric, risk-aware approach that aligns with our Strategy30 and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise bargaining and union consultation processes.
- Manage complex case matters including performance, conduct, fitness for duty, and capacity.
- Draft and interpret industrial instruments and policies.
- Provide strategic advice on restructures, governance, and tribunal matters.
- Build leader capability through coaching and training.
- Partner across HR, Payroll, Legal, and L&D to ensure defensible, contemporary practice.
What You’ll Bring
- 6+ years’ experience in ER/IR roles within complex or regulated environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Law, ER/IR or related discipline.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive, high-stakes matters with integrity and courage.
- Strong knowledge of awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and creating inclusive, respectful workplaces.
