A great opportunity has become available for a part time cleaner to join the team at The Y Broken Hill Aquatic Centre. This is a permanent part time position with a fixed roster.

Schedule:

  • Monday - 0600-1100
  • Tuesday - 0600-1100
  • Wednesday - 0600-1100
  • Thursday - 0600-1100
  • Friday - 0600-1100

About the role

Cleaners at The Y facilities are responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of facility presentation and hygiene. As well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, cleaners act as positive role models in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities.

What we would like you to bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience working in a high traffic public facility
  • CPR (or willing to attain)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the wellness centre
  • Ensure all areas meet health and safety requirements
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs
  • Implement risk management procedures to ensure visitor safety
  • Represent YMCA values through professional conduct and positive community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve facility objectives
