We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our early learning centre team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment while contributing to the nutritional wellbeing of young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support meal service for children and staff
- Store food items properly and monitor expiry dates
- Follow all food safety and health regulations
- Keep kitchen areas organized and well-stocked
- Assist with menu planning and inventory management
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Physical stamina for standing and lifting
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Basic understanding of child nutrition guidelines

Hours
Part-time position with morning shifts available. Hours typically range from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
