School PE Instructor

As a School PE Teacher, you’ll deliver fun, inclusive and curriculum‑aligned PE sessions that help students build confidence, coordination and healthy habits. While your classes may run on school sites, you’ll be supported by the YMCA Bankstown City team—working within a community recreation centre that champions gymnastics, sport, youth programs and active lifestyles every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As our PE Instructor, you'll have the exciting opportunity to:

• Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for students of various age groups
• Teach fundamental movement skills and sports techniques
• Organize and supervise school sports teams and competitions
• Create inclusive activities that accommodate all fitness levels and abilities
• Promote health and wellness throughout the school community
• Maintain and organize sports equipment and facilities
• Collaborate with other teachers on cross-curricular projects
• Support school events and sports days

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with children and young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for sports and physical fitness
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
• Creative approach to lesson planning and activities
