YMCA Lisarow OSHC is a lively and inclusive Out of School Hours Care service located within Lisarow Public School, that provides Before School, After School and Vacation Care. The Centre places safety at the heart of everything it does, creating a dependable and welcoming space where children feel comfortable, respected and heard.

Programs at Lisarow OSHC are designed to inspire engagement and encourage positive social connections. Through a mix of group activities, imaginative play and opportunities for rest, children are supported to find balance and joy in their time at OSHC. The service empowers children to develop confidence, strengthen friendships and grow as capable, connected individuals.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Introductory OSHC Educator, you'll play a hands-on role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for school-aged children. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and actively engaging with children during before and after school care sessions
  • Planning and facilitating fun, age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and curiosity
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care
  • Contributing to a welcoming and inclusive program environment
  • Assisting with the preparation and pack-up of program spaces and materials
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians in a warm and professional manner

What We're Looking For

We're on the lookout for someone who brings energy, empathy, and enthusiasm to everything they do. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A genuine passion for working with school-aged children
  • A current or willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a great sense of humour
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
  • Reliability and punctuality — children and families count on you!
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place framework
