Our Youth & Community Service team empowers and inspires young visitors, providing a safe space to grow and be heard.

The Y Space Broken Hill is located within our Regional Aquatic Centre and offers a safe, fun and welcoming environment for young people to connect, build skills and seek support. We run programs that focus on physical and mental wellbeing, life skills and resilience for 12- to 25-year-olds.

 

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Y Space Broken Hill. This role supports our Streetgym and Alternative Suspension programs to create and provide safe, inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported.

What You'll Do

  • Support young people to build life skills, confidence, and resilience
  • Facilitate meaningful activities that help youth connect, grow, and belong
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team to deliver youth programs and mentoring

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in working with young people in community or school-based settings
  • Certificate IV (or working towards) in Youth Work or Community Services
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for empowering young people
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
