We’re looking for an energetic and positive Learn to Play Basketball Instructor to help young players build confidence, skills, and a love for the game.
Join the Y NSW and Junior Basketball Academy (JBA) team as a Basketball Coach/ Instructor, where you'll help kids build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game. We're looking for passionate coaches who thrive on working with youth people.
🏀 What You’ll Do
- Teach basic basketball skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, teamwork)
- Run fun, engaging drills and small‑sided games
- Create a safe, supportive environment for kids aged 5–12
- Communicate with parents and support smooth program sessions
- Encourage sportsmanship, confidence, and enjoyment
👟 What You Bring
- A passion for basketball and developing young players
- Great communication and a positive, encouraging attitude
- Ability to manage a group of kids in a fun, structured way
- Coaching or playing experience (helpful, not essential)
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Flexible weeknight and/or weekend sessions
Local indoor courts across Sydney from Redfern to Penrith and Curl Curl to Bondi
