The Y NSW is embarking on a critical shift to centralised procurement, delivering stronger governance, better value, and improved operational confidence across a multi‑site organisation. The Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in building and operationalising a centralised procurement function across FY26–27.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the centralisation of the highest‑impact procurement categories
- Socialise Delegations of Authority and approval processes with Operations to build confidence and improve adoption
- Accelerate savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, and data‑driven decision‑making
- Drive urgent procurement activity including tenders, supplier compliance audits and contract renegotiations
- Implement systems, processes and controls to improve organisational procurement maturity
- Conduct risk‑based supplier audits, prioritising high‑frequency site visitors and ensuring WWCC compliance
- Organise supplier reviews, ensure contract files and documentation are accurate and complete
- Provide visibility of spend, trends and supplier performance across business units
- Support fleet operations, stocktake processes, and liquidation of aged/excess inventory
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar procurement role, ideally in a multi‑site environment
- Strong experience in tenders, contract negotiations and supplier management
- Proven capability influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable working in environments where structure is maturing and improvements are continuous
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and relationship‑building skills
- Commitment to the Y's values and safeguarding principles
