The Y NSW is embarking on a critical shift to centralised procurement, delivering stronger governance, better value, and improved operational confidence across a multi‑site organisation. The Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in building and operationalising a centralised procurement function across FY26–27.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the centralisation of the highest‑impact procurement categories
  • Socialise Delegations of Authority and approval processes with Operations to build confidence and improve adoption
  • Accelerate savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Drive urgent procurement activity including tenders, supplier compliance audits and contract renegotiations
  • Implement systems, processes and controls to improve organisational procurement maturity
  • Conduct risk‑based supplier audits, prioritising high‑frequency site visitors and ensuring WWCC compliance
  • Organise supplier reviews, ensure contract files and documentation are accurate and complete
  • Provide visibility of spend, trends and supplier performance across business units
  • Support fleet operations, stocktake processes, and liquidation of aged/excess inventory

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar procurement role, ideally in a multi‑site environment
  • Strong experience in tenders, contract negotiations and supplier management
  • Proven capability influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in environments where structure is maturing and improvements are continuous
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Commitment to the Y's values and safeguarding principles
