Our organisation delivers essential services to children, young people and communities across NSW. The Head of Growth Marketing ensures marketing investment is planned, prioritised and measurable — directly linking insight‑led marketing activity to participation growth, revenue outcomes and customer experience.

This role plays a critical part in moving the organisation from reactive marketing activity to a scalable, performance‑driven growth model.

About the role

The Head of Growth Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the organisation‑wide marketing function and building a disciplined, insight‑led growth engine that supports revenue, participation and long‑term sustainability.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role sets strategic direction for marketing, establishes operating rhythm and performance discipline, and partners closely with Operations to prioritise investment and resources across a diverse portfolio of services.

Strategic marketing leadership

  • Develop and lead the annual and quarterly Marketing Strategy, aligned to organisational growth priorities and the COO’s portfolio.
  • Translate organisational goals into funded, measurable and insight‑driven marketing programs.
  • Establish and lead a clear marketing operating rhythm, including intake, prioritisation, workflow and resourcing decisions in partnership with Operations.

Portfolio & campaign leadership

  • Oversee planning and delivery of integrated marketing programs across Sport & Recreation, Children’s Services, Camping and Youth Services.
  • Ensure all campaigns have clear KPIs, ROI frameworks and performance reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement through testing, optimisation and channel performance analysis.

Insights, analytics & performance

  • Build a comprehensive marketing performance framework linking investment to revenue, acquisition and retention outcomes.
  • Oversee dashboards, insights cadence and evidence‑based recommendations for the COO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Embed strong decision‑making discipline grounded in data and commercial outcomes.

Cross‑functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with Operations to align marketing activity with service delivery, customer experience and conversion outcomes.
  • Support consistent experience and messaging across service lines while remaining aligned to brand and growth strategy (without owning brand governance).

Leadership & capability building

  • Lead, coach and develop the marketing team, including people leaders and specialists.
  • Build a high‑performance culture grounded in accountability, transparency and planning discipline.
  • Strengthen organisational capability across digital, analytics, portfolio management and campaign execution.
