As the Optima and Payroll Systems Coordinator, you’ll be the key contact for payroll and Optima system queries, supporting managers and staff to ensure accurate payroll, efficient rostering, and reliable workforce data. You’ll help shape effective rostering practices.

In this role, you will:

✅ Act as the primary Optima System Coordinator, identifying and resolving errors, troubleshooting system issues, and liaising with IT or vendors.

✅ Coordinate accurate payroll processing in collaboration with the People & Culture and Finance teams.

✅ Support managers to develop effective rostering principles and maintain equitable, compliant rosters.

✅ Provide clear advice on payroll, entitlements, and award interpretation.

✅ Assist with workforce reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in payroll and/or rostering coordination, ideally within health or the public sector.
  • Proven experience managing payroll or workforce systems (Optima experience highly regarded).
  • Strong understanding of EBAs, payroll legislation, and rostering practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, values-driven mindset.
