Yarrawonga Health is seeking passionate and compassionate Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our dedicated team at Karana Aged Care – High Care.

We have a number of Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities available, providing an excellent opportunity for experienced ENs, or those looking to build their career in residential aged care, to become part of our close-knit team.

About the role

As an Enrolled Nurse at Karana Aged Care, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents within your scope of practice and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Your role will include:

  • Providing compassionate, person-centred nursing care to residents.
  • Supporting residents with their physical and emotional needs and activities of daily living.
  • Completing nursing assessments and using appropriate assessment tools.
  • Monitoring residents and recognising and escalating changes in their condition.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in consultation with residents and the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, care staff, allied health professionals, residents and families.
  • Supporting residents' dignity, independence and personal choice.
  • Contributing to contemporary aged-care practices and high standards of clinical care.
  • Supporting residents with complex physical needs and behaviours associated with dementia and other conditions.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competency.

We are looking for ENs who are:

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality residential aged-care.
  • Confident working within their scope of practice.
  • Able to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a resident's condition.
  • Strong communicators who work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Committed to person-centred care and evidence-based practice.
  • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Committed to Yarrawonga Health's values of Community, Compassion, Courage and Accountability.

Essential

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated competence as an Enrolled Nurse in accordance with NMBA requirements.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Standards and Aged Care Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent clinical care in accordance with Yarrawonga Health policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
