About the role
As an Enrolled Nurse at Karana Aged Care, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents within your scope of practice and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Your role will include:
- Providing compassionate, person-centred nursing care to residents.
- Supporting residents with their physical and emotional needs and activities of daily living.
- Completing nursing assessments and using appropriate assessment tools.
- Monitoring residents and recognising and escalating changes in their condition.
- Developing and implementing care plans in consultation with residents and the Registered Nurse.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, care staff, allied health professionals, residents and families.
- Supporting residents' dignity, independence and personal choice.
- Contributing to contemporary aged-care practices and high standards of clinical care.
- Supporting residents with complex physical needs and behaviours associated with dementia and other conditions.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competency.

- Able to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a resident's condition.
- Strong communicators who work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to person-centred care and evidence-based practice.
- Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Essential
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated competence as an Enrolled Nurse in accordance with NMBA requirements.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Standards and Aged Care Standards.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent clinical care in accordance with Yarrawonga Health policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
