🔍 Join Our Team as a Hospital Cook or Chef!

Yarrawonga Health is on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Cook or Chef to join our Support Services team. In this important role, you’ll help provide high-quality, nutritious, and appetising meals for our patients and staff.

Whether you're an experienced Cook or a qualified Chef with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive healthcare environment.

🧑‍🍳 Your Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with food safety and hospital dietary standards
• Manage plating, meal production, and food distribution processes
• Ensure proper portion control, allergy awareness, and therapeutic diet compliance
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and nutrition teams to ensure meal quality and consistency

✅ What You’ll Need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required for Chef position)
• Availability to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays
• Experience in a healthcare, aged care, or similar high-volume kitchen environment
• Basic computer literacy
• Understanding of confidentiality and workplace safety
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Satisfactory National Criminal History Check before starting

• Satisfactory Police Check
• Compliance with mandatory vaccination requirements for healthcare workers
