About YRT

Yalagan Registered Training – RTO Code 91627 is an accredited indigenous owned and certified RTO with core delivery capacity in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne and a focus on Construction, Rail, and High-Risk work courses.

The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate RTO administrator to join our team based at Botany to extend support to our students. The role is also pivotal in administering funded training contracts (e.g smart and skilled). Managing claims while ensuring compliance is met with the RTO Standards 2015 and the guidelines set by state governments is highly regarded.

Responsibility

This will include:

  • Experience in Student support and RTO administration related duties and responsibilities
  • Assist in training management including enrolments, invoicing, scheduling of sessions, resulting and completions;
  • Trainers’ management, in relation to booking trainers, and premises
  • Training resources management, including materials printing, organisation and related logistics.
  • Data entry, including results and claims for student through multiple student management systems and LMS
  • Maintenance of student data and files in accordance with RTO policies and compliance
  • Providing excellent customer service to students including responding to general queries, processing enrolments, issuing of training plans, generating certificates/statement of results, managing the customer retention process and follow up
  • All levels of administrative duties including filing, typing, data entry and scanning
  • Setting up, maintaining and packing up room requirements
  • Liaising with employers and facilitators
  • Collaborate well with others, building and maintaining effective relationships and engendering a spirit of teamwork
  • Reception relief
  • Other duties as required.

Selection criteria

To be successful in this role, you are expected to have the below skills and attributes, this will be used to guide selection to the next phase of the recruitment process.:

  • Previous RTO experience in administering training qualifications and or programs
  • Knowledge of the AQF, RTO national code, and RTO compliance requirement
  • Demonstrated student management system experience and computer literacy with a minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft programs
  • Excellent knowledge of training package requirements.
  • Understanding of government funding policies and procedures for RTOs
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Self-motivation, with demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Preferred skills and attributes

The following are not must-have, but they will be highly regarded to guide selection to the next phase of the recruitment process.

  • Recent experience working in the construction industry, Rail industry, or high-risk work licences
  • Experience and knowledge operating Moodle (or similar LMS)
  • Understanding of smart and skilled subsidised training 
  • Exposure to traineeship and apprenticeship programs.
