The Opportunity
You will provide strategic HR business partnering support to a newly formed senior Leadership team within our Mining & Metals Business Group based in Perth. You will bring coaching and data insights to drive our people priorities and business strategy. Leveraging AI-enabled tools, you will help leaders make informed decisions, anticipate workforce needs and shape effective people solutions. As part of a large and competent People Team, supported by global Centres of Excellence, you will take ownership of core HR responsibilities and tailor solutions to meet the needs of your client group. This includes delivering the full annual employee cycle, leading strategic planning activity, contributing to key HR projects, and supporting change management programs and other initiatives that build a future-ready organisation.
About you:
You will be a degree-qualified HR professional with solid experience in the Mining & Metals industry, bringing expert knowledge across the full employee lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong HR Business Partner to step into a Senior HR Business Partner role and make a real impact. Based in Perth with no FIFO required, you’ll thrive on building deep client relationships and adding value to both the business and the people strategy. Curious about how we operate and what drives our people, you will be confident in coaching leaders to build capability, managing complex ER matters, facilitating workshops, analysing data, contributing to the delivery of business and people strategy, and collaborating as part of an HRBP team.
Your background will include:
- Senior generalist HR professional, coupled with formal HR qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Strategic Senior HR Business partner with strong business acumen
- Demonstrated experience partnering with and coaching senior leaders and leadership teams to deliver strategic plans
- Expert knowledge of Human Resource organisational policies and practices
- Expert knowledge of generalist Human Resources best practice
- Experience in investigations of workplace and performance management issues
- Experience in managing projects of varying complexity and size
- Coaching qualifications would be beneficial
- Experience in change management
