We’re seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer / Electrical Package Lead to lead the building services electrical design for a major Sydney Metro station project. This role is ideal for someone passionate about complex building services engineering within high-performing, multi‑disciplinary project environments.

About the Role

As the Electrical Package Lead, you will:

  • Lead electrical building services design packages for new and upgraded train station environments (e.g., power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire detection, communications pathways, wayfinding systems, and station services integration).
  • Coordinate closely with architectural, mechanical, fire, structural and other building services disciplines to deliver cohesive, future‑ready station designs.
  • Provide technical direction, design assurance and quality oversight throughout all project phases.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and capability uplift.
  • Represent WSP in client and stakeholder discussions, ensuring technical clarity and strong relationships.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Building Services, ideally with exposure to transport or large public‑sector buildings.
  • Demonstrated capability delivering electrical building services across complex, multi‑disciplinary projects (stations experience highly desirable).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and influence design outcomes.
  • A proactive mindset, strong technical judgement and ability to thrive in fast‑paced project environments.
