Our Water Infrastructure Group is expanding and we’re looking for a technical driven Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to help deliver the next generation of water and wastewater infrastructure across Queensland.

About the Team

You’ll join WSP’s Water Utilities team, known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture, and forward‑thinking approach to engineering. Our projects span the entire state—from Townsville to the Gold Coast—and are backed by approachable leaders who genuinely invest in your development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver civil designs across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring technical accuracy and quality
  • Produce and review high‑quality technical documentation and reports
  • Lead or support design management for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with structural, mechanical, environmental and digital engineering teams
  • Contribute to winning proposals and pursuits
  • Support major program‑level work packages across pipelines, pump stations, and renewals

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering consultancy
  • Strong experience in water networks, water/wastewater infrastructure design
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards and WSAA codes
  • Experience in detailed design and design management
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and enthusiasm for digital engineering
  • Understanding of Safety in Design principles
  • Chartered status (or actively working towards it)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
  • Bonus: Experience in Design & Construct delivery
