The mining industry has a pivotal role to play in the green transition, and WSP's team of dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry in delivering the metals and minerals required for a greener future, in a sustainable and responsible manner. What you'll do:

  • Oversee the design management and design interfacing coordination function across structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil work for mine infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and deliver across a broad range of mining and infrastructure projects, including mine industrial area and maintenance facilities, site services, materials handling, access roads, rail and other infrastructure to support mining projects.
  • Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients including preparation of bids.
  • Oversee project management across projects that have multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Support the wider mine infrastructure design team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – e.g. bachelor’s degree in engineering (either civil, structural, mechanical or electrical).
  • Exceptional experience with a background in, or passion for, multi-disciplined engineering for mine infrastructure.
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary design team.
  • Working knowledge across a range of design and engineering areas including mine infrastructure, mechanical services, industrial facilities.
  • A track record of delivering mining and industrial projects.
  • The ability to build relationships and develop business.
