Our WSP Property and Buildings Civil group have an exciting role for an Associate Director – Civil to join our growing team in Sydney.

What you’ll do 

As an Associate Director you will:  

  • Operate in a market-facing and design delivery focused role; 
  • Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients; 
  • Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works; 
  • Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects; 
  • Ensure timely and quality of delivery for civil engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets; 
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally; 
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team; 
  • Champion own continual professional development and mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers; 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting. 
  • Support / lead in proposal preparation 

About you 

The successful candidate we are looking for will have: 

  • Proven experience in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of high profile projects as the project leader within the Property & Buildings sector on large or complex brownfield projects; 
  • Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads; 
  • Typically 12 to 15+ years’ industry experience; 
  • Well-developed client facing, business development and account/relationship management skills; 
  • The ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
