What you’ll do:
*We are happy for this position to be based in any of our major East Coast offices (Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane).
Joining an established Mining team, you'll be supporting a diverse range of brownfield and sustaining capital projects across Australia. You’ll play a key role in delivering engineering solutions for our mining clients across multiple commodities, working within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability across mine sites; from early concept and design through to execution and commissioning.
- Carry out technical evaluation of projects and recommend appropriate electrical equipment and solutions.
- Producing and reviewing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications and scope of works.
- Participate in the design and specification of industrial and mining systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communication systems.
- Review and modify in house design documentation e.g. schematics, single line diagrams and layouts.
- Accountable for electrical engineering analysis and undertakings as well as upholding and promoting compliance with Australian Standards and relevant regulatory acts of legislation and best practice.
- Carry out preliminary and detailed analysis and design of electrical power systems for mining projects and other infrastructure and ensure work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
About You
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Electrical.
- 6+ years experience working within a similar environment, across projects within the mining and resource sector.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Contribute to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
- Familiarity with power distribution systems, automation, and control systems.
