We’re seeking a Senior Engineer with Controls & Integration expertise to undertake the design, integration, and delivery of control systems across a diverse portfolio of Mission Critical Projects with a primary focus on Data Centres and Aviation projects.

About the role 

As a seasoned Controls Engineer with a passion for BMS, EPMS and SCADA systems and mission critical projects, you will join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical solutions across Australia and Asia’s most significant developments. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects across the region for multiple clients. You’ll play a key part in delivering mission critical projects that demand reliability, resilience, and innovation, while contributing to the continued growth and success of our business. We are happy to consider applications from Senior Engineer to Associate level. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. 
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the team. 
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. 
  • Lead small to medium-sized design projects and support larger, complex programmes, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supporting in the design and documentation of projects involving BMS, EPMS, SCADA and DCIM platforms 
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop control strategies and integration solutions 
  • Interfacing with ICT / Network specialists to develop an architecture to support the controls systems 
  • Researching and implementing smart sensor and data-driven performance strategies 
  • Preparing technical documentation and managing construction phase services 
  • Ensuring compliance with WSP’s quality assurance and project delivery standards 
  • Supporting commissioning activities 

Key Requirements 

  • 5+ years of experience delivering mission critical projects within an engineering consultancy or controls vendor environment 
  • A relevant engineering degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering—or equivalent industry experience 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with MEP engineers, ICT designers 
  • Ability to provide technical expertise in data analytics and control strategies 
  • Experience preparing technical documentation (e.g. specifications, schematics, reports) and managing construction phase services 
  • Demonstrated capability in managing project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder relationships 
  • A collaborative mindset, enthusiasm for innovation, and commitment to delivering technically strong and efficient project outcomes
