WSP’s Water Business Group is growing, and we’re looking for a BIM Lead to join our national CAD and Digital Engineering team. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in rolling out and implementing our Water Digital Engineering Strategy, driving innovation and delivering a differentiated service to our clients.

You’ll work on major water infrastructure projects and large-scale programs, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and network upgrades. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane, with flexibility and collaboration across states.

About the role

  • Translate the Water Digital Engineering Strategy into actionable plans and deliver outcomes in partnership with the digital/drafting team.
  • Identify projects and programs to embed digital engineering practices and lead implementation through to completion.
  • Act as a power user—champion the strategy through working groups, technical briefings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Build capability by mentoring drafting staff and delivering training programs (classroom and on-the-job).
  • Support technical excellence in BIM-compliant modelling, interdisciplinary coordination, and digital workflows.

About you

  • Experience in planning and implementing change management and strategic objectives.
  • Advanced skills in digital drafting, detailing, and design software.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Engineering/BIM software, including interdisciplinary coordination; water industry experience preferred.
  • Exposure to 4D/5D modelling and Civil 3D highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage internal and external client relationships and expectations.
  • Experience in resource coordination and project delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
