We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Brisbane office in Sunny Queensland.

You will be part of our accomplished Geotechnical and Tunnels section and will work alongside our established team of Geotechnical and Tunnelling technical experts. Your role will also be well supported across our business, with skilled resources in other sections.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside and supported by Principal Geotechnical Engineers on geotechnical investigation and design projects from proposal preparation, project start-up, coordination of geotechnical fieldwork, processing of field data / laboratory results, geotechnical design and geotechnical construction phase services
  • Alongside your geotechnical discipline, our roles expand to supporting or leading project management aspects of these projects, including client communications, resource management and project finance
  • Manage, perform analysis and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects
  • Mentoring / training of graduate and junior engineers
  • Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating / eliminating high priority safety hazards.
  • Prepare proposals and technical reports for clients 

About you:

  • A civil engineering or related degree is a must
  • Extensive experience in a similar role but open to consider candidates with less suitable experience
  • Track record of promoting innovation in the field of geotechnical engineering to create value for clients/ projects
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation / review of written technical reports and client communications
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including rock/soil/structure interaction 
  • A successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large size geotechnical projects
