Due to the continued success of our Australian operations, our Water business is seeking an experienced Asset Management Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure, Asset Management and Planning (AMP) team. We are interested in speaking with anyone from Senior to Associate level.
About the team
The WSP Water AMP team is a nationally recognized group specializing in strategic, master, and detailed planning for water and sewer networks, pumping stations, conveyance, and related infrastructure. With decades of local and global experience, the team helps utilities across Australia-including Urban Utilities, TasWater, Melbourne Water, and SA Water-understand the health of their assets and forecast renewals with certainty to extend infrastructure lifespan and improve efficiency.
The AMP team plays a critical role in shaping sustainable water management solutions, focusing on optimizing water use, reducing waste, and enhancing resilience to meet growing infrastructure demands, especially in regions like Queensland ahead of major events such as the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. WSP’s AMP professionals work on high-impact projects that support long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability, while fostering innovation, collaboration, and career growth within a flexible and inclusive work environment.

- Provide expert advice on asset management practices, processes, and system improvements.
- Prepare clear, concise reports, plans, and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of asset management capabilities.
Ideally you will have:
- Engineering degree (Civil or related discipline) with eligibility for professional membership (e.g., Engineers Australia).
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in asset management within the water sector or related infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000), and lifecycle planning.
