About the Role

As the Head of Geospatial & Digital Spatial Solutions, you will lead the evolution of our GIS and spatial function from a largely reactive support model into a proactive, strategic, revenue‑generating advisory team.

You will drive national strategy, build modern capability, strengthen our market presence, and lead a growing client-facing Consulting Digital Engineering (DE) team supporting major projects across transport, infrastructure, energy, environment, water, property, and more.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, digital engineering, analytics, and consulting — offering the chance to influence WSP’s digital future.

What You’ll Lead

Strategic Leadership

• Define and deliver the national transformation strategy for spatial intelligence & digital engineering.
• Build a modern consulting offering across analytics, digital twins, automation, remote sensing, platforms and solutions.
• Align geospatial and DE capability with WSP’s broader Digital, Data, and Software strategies.

Team Growth & Capability Development

• Lead a multidisciplinary team including GIS, spatial analytics, DE advisory, automation, data engineering, and remote sensing.
• Appoint capability leads and build a clear, scalable team structure.
• Oversee upskilling pathways across Python, 3D GIS, cloud GIS, automation, DE workflows, and more.
• Grow our offshore support capability across India and Manila.

Operational & Service Excellence

• Introduce modern service models, automation and self‑service tooling.
• Improve delivery consistency through new intake, scoping, and QA frameworks.
• Drive performance metrics including utilisation, turnaround, and client satisfaction.

Business Development & Growth

• Lead BD efforts for geospatial and digital engineering consulting.
• Shape a strong national pipeline and develop reusable playbooks and sector offerings.
• Promote WSP’s capability through case studies, showcases, roadshows, and thought leadership.

Financial & Commercial Leadership

• Own budgeting, resource planning, and hybrid commercial models.
• Track revenue, profitability, and investment needs across capability streams.

12–18 Month Success Indicators

• A clear national capability structure with appointed leads.
• Measurable reduction in low‑value ticketing through automation and self‑service.
• Establishment of a remote sensing function (internal + partner ecosystem).
• Strong growth in spatial analytics, DE consulting, and digital twin advisory revenue.
• Increased utilisation, market visibility, and recognition as a national thought leader.

Who We’re Looking For

Technical Expertise

• Deep experience in GIS, spatial analytics, DE, geospatial platforms, or related digital domains.
• Strong understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise, cloud GIS, automation, FME, Python, remote sensing, CDEs, BIM/DE workflows, and data engineering.

Leadership & Commercial Strength

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary digital/technical teams.
• Demonstrated capability in business development and advisory leadership.
• Skilled at stakeholder engagement and influencing senior executives.

Preferred Experience

• Standing up new service lines or innovation initiatives.
• Coaching and capability development.
• Exposure to DE + GIS integrated workflows or software/automation environments.
