Our WSP Building Structures group is a specialist team renowned for their innovation in structural engineering and cutting-edge BIM project execution across complex building structures and infrastructure projects, with offices in each major city across Australia.

Our recent projects span across a range of different sectors including but not limited to defence, transportation, commercial and high-rise developments.

What you’ll do:

  • Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects;
  • Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
  • Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients;
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
  • Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers;
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

About You

  • Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);
  • 4-8 years industry experience 
  • Commercial experience in Australia on medium/large building structures engineering projects is essential.
  • Exposure across a range of local building sectors, e.g., transport, health, retail, defence;
  • Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete;
  • Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
  • The ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
