What if you could do the kind of work the world truly needs?
At WSP, you’ll be part of a global network, contributing to landmark projects and collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry. We foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and inclusion—where diverse perspectives are celebrated and career paths are as unique as you.
Due to continued growth and recent project wins (NG4D), WSP’s Water business is seeking a Senior or Associate Asset Management Engineer to join our Asset Management and Planning (AMP) team in Brisbane or Gold Coast. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact projects that shape sustainable water management across Australia.
About the Team
Our nationally recognised AMP team specialises in strategic, master, and detailed planning for water and sewer networks, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and related infrastructure. With decades of local and global experience, we support utilities such as Urban Utilities, Sydney Water and SA Water in understanding asset health and forecasting renewals with confidence.
The team plays a pivotal role in delivering sustainable solutions—optimising water use, reducing waste, and enhancing resilience, especially in preparation for major events like the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
We offer a collaborative, flexible, and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and career growth.

- Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical asset management plans.

- Develop long-term investment profiles and renewal strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and establish risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide expert advice on asset management systems and process improvements.
- Prepare clear and compelling reports, plans, and presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with eligibility for professional membership (e.g., Engineers Australia).
- 7+ years of experience in asset management within the water or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and translating insights into action.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven project management and team collaboration capabilities.
- Experience in risk assessment, investment planning, and business case development is highly desirable.
Why Choose WSP?
