Help shape WA’s environmental legacy into a sustainable future.

At WSP, we turn complex environmental challenges into opportunities for sustainable change, helping industries across WA leave a positive legacy.

Our Contaminated Lands team works on some of WA’s most challenging projects, from managing contamination risks in mining and resources to delivering solutions for major infrastructure, land development, oil & gas, and defence.

This role is perfect for someone who loves solving problems, understands the regulatory landscape, and wants to make a real difference in how WA’s land is managed for generations to come.

What you’ll do

  • Lead contaminated land projects for mining and resource clients, while also contributing to work across infrastructure, energy, and development sectors.
  • Design and deliver investigations that stand up to scrutiny - conceptual site models, defensible sampling plans, and clear decision logic.
  • Turn complex data into practical solutions and reports that regulators and auditors trust.
  • Mentor and support the next generation of environmental professionals.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar.
  • 8 - 15+ years’ experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation, ideally with resource sector experience.
  • Strong knowledge of WA’s regulatory frameworks (Contaminated Sites Act, NEPM schedules) and how they shape rehabilitation and land-use planning.
  • Full Australian working rights and manual driver’s licence.

What makes this role exciting?

  • You’ll be at the forefront of WA’s environmental transformation, helping clients manage risk and deliver sustainable outcomes.
  • Every project is different, from complex investigations to shaping strategies for land that meets future use goals.
  • You’ll work with a team that values collaboration, innovation, and practical solutions, not just ticking boxes.
  • You’ll have the freedom to shape how projects are delivered, influence decisions, and mentor others.
  • And you’ll do it all with the backing of a global network of experts, while keeping the WA connection strong.
