We’re looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer with 4–6 years’ experience to join our dynamic Sydney Building Services team. If you’re ready to step up, work on landmark projects, and grow under industry-leading mentors — this could be your next move.

About the Opportunity

Our Property & Buildings group delivers some of Australia’s most complex and high‑profile projects across transport, defence, commercial, and civic infrastructure. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team ranging from graduates to technical directors, all contributing ideas and supporting each other’s growth.

You’ll support senior engineers on major projects and take the lead on smaller packages of work, developing strong design capability and gaining exposure to national‑scale opportunities.

What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Deliver mechanical design solutions for single and multidisciplinary building projects
• Support senior and principal engineers across all stages of design
• Lead smaller design packages or small standalone projects
• Coordinate with other disciplines including Electrical, Hydraulics, Fire, and ESD
• Attend meetings and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and contractors
• Help maintain quality, accuracy, and delivery standards
• Mentor graduates and junior team members
• Identify and contribute to business development opportunities (desirable)

About You

You will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• 4–6 years’ experience in mechanical building services design
• Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, heating and associated systems
• Experience delivering projects in the building services consulting environment
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Solid knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA requirements
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Eligibility for relevant state engineering registration (desirable)
