We have an exciting opportunity to work on some of the country’s most significant water infrastructure programs, including major projects for Sydney Water and Hunter Water. You’ll join a close-knit, nationally integrated team delivering complex water and wastewater design projects — projects that make a difference for the environment, the economy, and local communities.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer with proven experience in water retaining structures from the water, mining, or industrial sectors. At the Professional to Senior level, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the structural design of water and wastewater infrastructure — including pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, and more
  • Ensuring technical quality from concept through to detailed design
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team nationally to share knowledge and drive best practices
  • Managing design packages or leading project components
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers to develop technical and professional skills
  • Contributing to proposals and bids with a focus on innovative, client-centric solutions

About You

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong hands-on design experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Proven experience in water infrastructure design — particularly water retaining structures
  • Familiarity with relevant design tools (e.g., 12D), WSAA codes, and Australian Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, high-quality technical reports
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is highly regarded
