Our Mining Group
Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.
What you'll do:
- Leading the end-to-end development of control systems, from concept through commissioning, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
- Architect and program PLC and SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to integrate control systems into broader project frameworks.
- Conduct detailed system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure high reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including functional specifications, control philosophies, I/O lists, network architectures, and FAT/SAT procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
About you:
- Tertiary Engineering Qualification.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documentation, test and validation documentation, commissioning documentation and change management documentation.
- Competency with PLC platforms – Schneider PLC’s.
- Competency with SCADA HMI platforms – Citect SCADA.
- Provide high level technical support for Control System engineers as required.
- Ability to work as a team player with peers and other discipline engineers and draftspersons to ensure Control System project goals are met.
