About the Role
Are you passionate about leading teams to deliver impactful health and safety outcomes? WSP’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is seeking expressions of interest from experienced leaders ready to drive innovation, foster a positive safety culture, and shape the future of our national Health & Safety practice.
As Team Manager, Health & Safety, you will lead, coach, and influence a high-performing team to deliver strategic, operational, and technical excellence. You’ll play a key role in identifying business growth opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our people. This is an opportunity to empower others, drive business development, and contribute to a culture of teamwork and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and foster a positive safety culture across the team
- Ensure staff are trained and deliver work safely and profitably
- Identify operational efficiencies and support business growth
- Prepare proposals and manage projects to achieve strategic goals
- Build trust, empower leaders, and develop staff competencies
- Mentor, coach, and support ongoing professional development
- Drive business development and contribute to market action plans
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively manage feedback
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Health and Safety, Science, or equivalent
- Experience leading high-performing teams, including virtual/remote staff
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and win new business
- Strong client relationship and business development skills
- Experience in budget management and change leadership
- Ability to build technical capability and mentor others
- Strategic, future-minded, and emotionally intelligent leader
