Our Mining Group
Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you'll be working across a variety of sustaining capital projects, including heavy haul rail projects and mine developments. This role is office based, with a heavy field work component, working alongside a supportive team with a strong focus on client relationship and delivery. Your day to day will include;
- Undertake a variety of field and office-based assignments under the guidance of senior engineers, ensuring tasks are completed to quality and safety standards.
- Assist in the preparation of geotechnical designs, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings, contributing to high-quality project deliverables.
- Interpret field and laboratory data to support the development of geotechnical models and design recommendations.
- Coordinate the accurate entry, validation, and ongoing management of geotechnical data within project databases, ensuring integrity and traceability.
- Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation, delivering outputs on schedule with review and mentorship from senior team members.
About You
- Relevant Degree (Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering etc)
- 2+ years experience working in a Geo role, ideally on mining, rail or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to geotechnical data management packages, such as OpenGround, gINT, and GIS applications, such as GlobalMapper
- Willingness to participate in regular field work
- An ability to work cohesively within a team driven environment
- Strong report writing and excellent communication skills
